The 21-year-old has been heavily liked with a move to the Emirates in recent weeks.

Unai Emery is keen to bolster his squad, however, the Gunners can only afford loan deals.

Arsenal have already signed Denis Suarez today, with talks over a move for Nkunku ongoing.

And according to the Daily Mirror, the stumbling block is PSG’s loan fee demands.

Nkunku’s agent Jose Pierre Fanfan has been vocal on Arsenal’s interest in the versatile attacker, claiming it’s unlikely the Gunners will complete a deal.

"I am here (in the studio) tonight, which is not a good sign," Farfan said.

"There is a real interest from Arsenal for Nkunku, but the discussions are quite complicated.

"It is still being discussed with PSG, things could still happen in the next 48 hours.

"But as I said, the fact that I am here means that it does not look good."

Arsenal are looking to loan Nkunku until the summer with an option to buy.

PSG are said to be demanding around £17.4m for Nkunku, however, the Gunners are unwilling to pay up.

Nkunku has just over 18 months remaining on his current PSG contract.

Should the Gunners land Nkunku before Thursday night’s deadline, the attacker will join Denis Suarez at the Emirates.

The midfielder joined on loan from Barcelona today.

Arsenal have an option to make the deal permanent this summer if Suarez impresses under Emery.
