Rihanna Sues Her Own Dad For Illegally Exploiting Her Name

It appears that the relationship between popular singer Rihanna, born Robyn Rihanna Fenty, and  her father, Ronald Fenty, has just taken a dimension for the worse after the singer filed a lawsuit claiming her dad is exploiting her name to try and get rich.

TheBlast reports that the pop star has sued the Barbadian for using the family name to promote his venture, Fenty Entertainment.

According to Rihanna, Ronald and business partner Moses Perkins have been exploiting her name by booking gigs without her permission or knowledge.

The duo are accused of creating an entertainment company and have been soliciting business acting as agents of the singer.

Despite having no authority to act on his daughter’s behalf, Ronald is said to have booked her on a $15million tour in Latin America and two concerts, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas for $400,000.

She also says Ronald claimed he ran the business offers by Rihanna’s actual label, Roc Nation, but the singer argues nobody from Roc Nation was ever made aware of anything Ronald was doing.

Rihanna asks for damages from her father, and an injunction on his business, set up in 2017.
