Davido has a froggy voice, no scratch that, Davido has a cracked froggy voice!
However his voice has never being his strong suit and he didn’t even try to sell us on that.
He sold us on his catchy repetitive lyrics, danceable rhythm, energetic vibe, boyish handsomeness, 30 billion gang, adoration for his daughters and most recently his love for chioma.
But last night, Davido’s career took a pivotal turn! He sold out 02 Arena in London, a 20,000 capacity hall.
He has now officially joined Drake, Rihanna, Kanye West, on the list of Artistes who have sold out the venue as Headliners.
The Davido’s concert at the O2 Arena yesterday trended worldwide and saw him as the 2nd African artiste to sell out the centre as a headliner. Wizkid sold out the 02 arena in June 2018.
The world’s sexiest man and International actor Idris Elba who was a special guest at the event took to stage to announce Davido, who made an epic entrance arriving on a suspended platform to a rapturous cheer from the waiting crowd.
Performing a familiar set-list of his large catalog of hit anthems including songs like 'Dami Duro', 'FIA', 'If', 'Fall', 'Assurance', and bringing his girlfriend, Chioma on stage as they shared a passionate kiss.
Davido reacting to comparison on his Twitter page wrote: “You all can stop arguing now, it is not about who did it first or who did it alone without help.
“We sha don do am Wetin you don do? ”
Also in a viral video, Davido credited his inspiration to sell out the O2 Arena from his “brother” Wizkid.
Davido, not one to hoard a throne, has always been a big believer of the sky is big enough for everyone to shine.
