Nigerians have been watching TV since forever. It started with the local shows down to the foreign ones. Before the advent of ZeeWorld and Telemundo, we watched the telenovelas and followed up on the stories.
Here are some of the amazing telenovelas that kept us glued to our seats then.
Second Chance!
Second Chance’s main character Salvador, played by Mario Cimarro, was everyone’s best-friend. The telenovela was the talk of the town during the period it aired. It was about a man who comes back from the dead and discovers dark secrets about his beautiful widow.
Catalina and Sebastian!
Sebastian, a rich heir fell in love with Catalina, a simple girl with an opportunist mother and brother.The main characters are the Silvia Navarro’s “Catalina” and “Sebastian” (Sergio Basanez) entwined in the ambitious struggles of their families, putting their love at test.
When You Are Mine!
It was the second reunion for Silvia Navarro and Sergio Basañez as protagonists.
The Gardener's Daughter!
Undoubtedly one of our favourites because we could stare at Carlos Eduardo’s face all day and even more at Louisa Fernanda’s smile.
