Aaron Ramsey has released a statement concerning his summer move to Juventus for the first time after it was confirmed.

The midfielder has agreed a four-year contract with the Serie A club, which is reportedly worth £400,000-per-week.

Ramsey had also attracted interest from Barcelona and PSG but will only join Juventus in the summer - when his Arsenal contract ends.

The Welshman was also in talks with Arsenal over a new deal but the Gunners withdrew their offer.

Not long after the news of his departure was confirmed, Ramsey took to social media to express his gratitude to Arsenal.

“As you may have already heard, I have agreed a pre-contract with Juventus Football Club,” it read.

“I wanted to issue a personal statement for all the Arsenal fans who have been extremely loyal and supportive.

“You welcomed me as a teenager and have been there for me through all the highs and lows I’ve encountered during my time at the club.

“It is with a heavy heart that I leave after 11 incredible years in North London. Thank you.

“I will continue to give the team 100 per cent and hope to finish the season strongly, before heading on to my next chapter in Turin.”

Ramsey has won three FA Cups in his time with Arsenal, and scored the winning goals against Hull and Chelsea in 2014 and 2017.

The 28-year-old will become the second-highest paid player in Serie A, only behind new team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo.
