The results of last Saturday’s presidential election as obtained in Cross River State have started trickling in, indicating that the Presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar, is in comfortable lead in 9 of the 18 Local Government Areas of the state.

The results indicate that Atiku has defeated his closest rival, President Muhammadu Buhari in all the local government areas released so far from the state’s three senatorial districts.

From the results of the nine local government areas being expected, that of Etung local government area would be known when the presidential , and National Assembly elections are held on a new date to be announced by the INEC.

The February 23 elections were cancelled in Etung due to violence, and large scale electoral irregularities perpetrated by partisan thugs.

A breakdown of the polls scored by both candidates of the APC and PDP are as follows.

Ogoja LGA:
