Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sought the help of a Black Panther expert as he looks to perfect the Wakanda Forever gesture he has been doing for his goal celebrations.

While it was not required in Monday night's 2-0 win over Newcastle - goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Aaron Ramsey got the Gunners the three points - the striker met with Black Panther actress Letitia Wright in a bid to perfect the popular move.

Black Panther is a Marvel superhero and was the main character in a film of the same name, released in 2018. It was nominated for seven Oscars.

Aubameyang crossed his arms to celebrate a goal against Rennes in the 76th minute recently, performing the 'Wakanda Forever' gesture that is used as a greeting in the Marvel film.

It was the second time in one week that the Gabon ace tried the masked Black Panther celebration having tried the same against Manchester United the previous weekend, only to lose track of where the mask was.

Initially in the video the pair are out of sync, sending them both into fits of laughter, but they soon hit their stride and following a brief handshake, find themselves in unison with the move.

After showing Aubameyang how it is done after the crowd dispersed on Monday, Wright took to social media to express her thanks to the club for arranging a meeting.

She tweeted: 'After seeing @Aubameyang7 put on the black panther mask after scoring. I had to head down to @Arsenal to check out the game.

'Happy I did! Really enjoyed it!'

Having brushed up on his technique - no doubt a useful exercise should he net between now and the end of the season - Aubameyang presented the actress with an Arsenal shirt by way of thanks.
