Nigerian's React To Side Chic Saga: Nkiru Can Sue Ngozi

A trending video shows a woman beating her friend, Nk'iru. She allegedly discovered that Nk'iru has been sleeping with her husband. She would hit her while saying "Nk'iru upon everything I did for you".

Away from Judas-esque betrayals, male scumhood and direction of anger in cases of marital infidelity, here are the possible measures that Nkiru can decide to take up. They are including but not limited to:

- Going through a Public Prosecutor to file a complaint. Ngozi could be charged with the crime of assault and be put away for three years if found guilty. Provocation won't avail her as a defence because between leaving her house and getting to Nkiru's apartment, the "heat of passion" would have cooled down.

- Suing Ngozi for Cyberstalking under the Cyber Crimes Act 2015 (since the video was recorded AND shared). By virtue of Section 24 (2), since the video harms Nkiru's reputation, the penalty could go as far as a 5-year jail sentence, or a fine of , 

N15,000,000.00.

- Suing in Tort for trespass to person, in simple terms, Battery. If she follows through, she could go home with millions of naira in damages.

Ngozi should hope that her (former) "bestie" does not want to follow this to a logical conclusion, because the legal and financial implications are fairly heavy.

I honestly wish that Nkiru would press charges.

She took thugs to Nkiru’s house, beat her up, stripped her naked and made porn video of her and posted on the internet.

Suddenly, some women think it is now okay to upload a woman’s nude on the Internet, because it is a fellow woman that did it.
